i'm feeling like a little girl holding balloons in paris

for the following 10 reasons:

1. Erin is en route {well, in 2 hours she will be}

i will see her super late tonight or tomorrow morning.

2. Marissa is here! well, she's with her fiance Ty, but she will be back to our humble little apartment so soon. and it's been so long. and i made her a "welcome home marissa" banner.

3. my month of madness [they don't call it March Madness for nothin'!] is over: i can be myself again. a better friend.

4. because march madness is over, i went to dinner with claire the other day!

5. because march madness is over, i've been in contact with some friends i haven't talked to in a looooong time.

6. i read through some old emails [some are like journal entries--emails i had sent my family after some wonderful experiences i've had] and have done some needed reflecting

7. General Conference is tomorrow! 10am & 2pm MST Saturday & Sunday

8. the Lord has blessed me with some tender mercies.

9. Easter is Sunday. and Erin will be here to spend it with me. with some lovely Easter festivities Sunday evening.

10. erin and i are running 17 miles tomorrow. 17 miles! i hate to talk about this and try so hard not to with anyone but erin for fear that people will think that i think too highly of myself or whatever but i am just proud of myself. safely proud. not arrogant proud. and i'm extra proud that erin, who had surgery on her ACL 3 years ago and it took forever to heal, is able to do it too. i don't think her legs like her running as much as she does but she's a fighter. we pray her legs hold up. they will, i know they will.
