remember when i said i met NieNie at the BYU bookstore?

yesterday, dana texted me and told me to check out the little video she made for our Church.

so i watched it. three times. and teared up. quite a bit. this woman and her family are absolutely amazing. she is an excellent example to me of putting my whole faith in our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ and accepting and overcoming trials and suffering.

the end of the video includes this message from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland:

"When suffering, we may in fact be nearer to God than we’ve ever been in our entire lives. That knowledge can turn every such situation into a would-be temple.

Regarding our earthly journey, the Lord has promised:

I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up. [D&C 84:88]

That is an everlasting declaration of God’s love and care for us, including—and perhaps especially—in times of trouble."

so please, watch this. (i probably will like 3 more times, tonight at least.) and think about your life: blessings, so many blessings. what are you grateful for? how are you blessed? write them down. put them in your journal. pray to your Father in Heaven. thank Him for all He blesses you with.
