meet my reindeer

We made reindeer puppets.

We traced our shoes for the face.

We traced our hands for the antlers.

We glued them on a lunch sack.

Some of us put noses on them.

And some of us were silly and put tongues underneath.

And then... {teacher voice}

We wrote about ourselves.

Miss Kendrick typed them up for us to glue on the back.

We are so clever and so sweet.

Here's what some of us said:

My reindeer is called Matthew.  He has a green nose.  He is spectacular.  His favorite thing about Christmas is how Jesus was born.

My name is Rudolph.  I am the reindeer that is in front of all of my friends.  My favorite thing about Christmas day is all of the kids in the world.  Santa loves the kids so much he could kiss every one of the boys and girls!

Hi my name is Dancer.  How fun do you think it is to fly?  It is fun.  I have a friend named Prancer.

Hello, my name is Rex the Reindeer.  One of my favorite reindeer games is reindeer remembering.  I’m just training for flight so I cannot help on Santa’s sleigh.  On the bright side, I’m almost done with it!  My favorite foods are apples and hay.

Hi.  My name is Blister.  Santa chose the name Blister because I’m crazy!!  Crazier than a clown!  My friends are Jakey and Hyrey-Boy.  They have crazy names, too.  I love carrots.  Bye-bye.

My name is Wreath, because my antlers are green and are wreaths.  One of my favorite movies ito watch is “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”  When I fly it feels like I’m walking on clouds.  I like racing with the other reindeer.  My favorite food is carrots with ranch dressing.  Now there are ten reindeer.  Dancer is my dad.  He thinks I’m fine.  Sorry if I’m chewing my food.  I like hay, too.
