just so you know...


yesterday this handsome man picked me up from the airport...

with flowers.

i love him.

my half bday is in 1 month from today.
but more importantly...


27 days until we are married (actually, more like 26.5)

some quick updates.

1.  my classroom is a mess right now.  i had about 300 copies come in which i now need to sort through and plan lessons for. woo hoo.


2.  invitations are DONE.  it only took me around 10 hours to address them all.  and by all i mean all of the kendrick/california ones, steven's mom was so kind to take all of the hopper/arizona invites.  thanks elaine!  i'll put up some of our engagement pictures as soon as i get them--i'm so excited!


3.  general conference was SO wonderful.


4.  steven and i both have our plates FULL, like eyes-bigger-than-your-stomach-full this week. because we are leaving promptly at 3 pm on thursday.


5.  erin and mike will be married in 4 days!!!!


6.  katie and kyle got engaged!!!!!!!!!!


7.  this is a conversation steven and i had last night.


me:  i'm obsessed with you.
him: i'm obsessed with you.
me:  why?
him: because i love you. {pause} duh.


i just love him.


8. now, this is being posted at 11.30pm on monday night {because i didn't finish it during my 10 minute break earlier.} so i guess i can see this.  we are in the 30's now.  39 days until our wedding on may 14th!!!!

10. my hives haven't completely left me, yet.

today is a good day.

and for many reasons.


1) it's friday.
2) date night. {double tonight}
3) it is about 60 degrees!
4) the sun is shining!
5) i went to the gym at 5.25am
6) i spent time with katie.
7) i will see steven in about 10 minutes.
8) tomorrow morning i will go to yoga. then, steven and i are meeting up with some of his friends for breakfast.  going out to breakfast is one of my favorite things.
9) my windows are open!
10) and i drove with the windows rolled down.
11) i finally got the new taylor swift "speak now" cd from dana last weekend.  i can't stop listening to it.
12) steven and i are getting married so super soon.
13) i'm in love, i'm in love, and i don't care who knows it! {name that movie. it's from elf. but it's true for me.}
14) my health class was waived!!!!!! i'm GRADUATING in april!!! (not just walking and graduating in august)
15) the Lord loves me.  and blesses me.
16) my students are SO adorable. they asked if they can come to my wedding.  actually, they asked if it was in utah so they could go because california is too far. {and garrett, unfortunately, will be in arizona before our open house there. he was pretty bummed about that.  but, i think he might be more bummed that he can't be at erin's for her cookie bar. they have a little same birthday/love of cookies connection.}
17) mikalei called steven my fiancee today, rather than my fantaste {fawn-toss-tay} and she had this HUGE smile on her face when she said it.

sacrificing stuff or yourself.

when someone asks you to get married. My friends.  My mom and dad are special.  I love my mom and dad.

happiness & love & being graceful.  Valentines!!!!!!!

{do you mean being grateful?  no. graceful.  oh, okay.}

when a boy and a glri (girl) get merred.  Love is also friends and family.  Love is also hugs and kisses.

doing nice things for someone and respect her or him.  show love.  marry her.  make cards.

having a baby.  Getting marryed.  Watching movies whith them.

kindness.  Love is swetness.  Love is showing gratatod {gratitude}.  Love is haveing frendes.

haveing nice baby brother and a family.  Also haveing some nice realy realy nice cousin for some family member's.  In my family for XOXO I now {know} is love.

when to kiss someone, XOXO, love, friends, someone you like, and having joy.

january

i went to the mountains with some new friends for the mlk jr. holiday.

lyndi and i made some awesome cakes. well, lyndi did.

lyndi and i took our buddies to the best buddies ball.

i donned the red lipstick {which was lost at halloween. sad.}

one night it snowed. A TON. we made a 7 foot snowman and then went sledding at midnight. 

i also decided i was crazy and would train and run for a marathon.

{what was i thinking? i don't know. but i loooooved it.}

february

we made a trip home for disneyland and V day.  it was so fun.

i started my marathon training. in the dead of winter.  one time i ran 11 miles in a blizzard.

march

i started my practicum in 2nd grade. i realized that i was made to teach. {not that i'm anything fabulous, but i realized loooooove it.}

mom, dad, and g.ma came up for a visit.

what a FUN & CRAZY weekend.

 

i found out i was going to be miss kendrick.

april

erin came for general conference & easter

i finished winter semester

spring came

marissa & ty got married

i moved in with katie

marathon training bumped up to 18, then 20.

may

marathon training was getting bloody.  okay, not really bloody.

and really taking it's toll on my toes!

i was taking too many classes.

and buying books & things for my classroom.

i was eating lots of watermelon.

and going on lots and lots of bike rides with katie.

katie and i were decorating our apartment.

i made a last minute trip home to surprise my best friend for her graduation!

june

shin splints attacked a mere 10 days before my marathon!!

NO BUENO!

training was winding down. over 700 miles run total!

pre-race nerves were setting in.

i ran a MARATHON!!! {play by play here, in case you missed it in june.}

i had post-marathon blues.  kind of like postpartum. and i wanted to run another race.

july

i had a fun 4th of july weekend.

i hiked the subway in zion's.  SO fun!

i was really stressed and feeling the pressure of teaching 2nd grade.

we went to the river.

august

golden spoon opened.

and i go there a lot. like once a week. sometimes twice. one time katie and i went three times {we went on tuesday and they told us the grand opening was friday and saturday and you get free yogurt! so we went friday and saturday for a total of 3 times that week! hasn't happened since, nor will it.}

my classroom was coming together, thanks to help from katie and some friends.

i was still stressed out of my mind.

James Danger came into my life.

i went home for the last HURRAH before school started.

school started!

erin and mike came for a visit.

mike took us to tucanos.  then we went to sundance and the first byu home game!

we went for a labor day hike.

i was trying to keep my head above water with all of my lesson planning, trying to go to the gym, etc.

and brought back the side bangs.

fall was here, halloween was near, bucky was sick. {here}

all dogs go to heaven, and that's where bucky went.

halloween in 2nd grade is the best.

and halloween as a mime or fairy is also fun.

fall was beautiful. i love it.

apparently steven didn't think i was crazy and we started dating.

i had the best bday ever.

we went to the brandon flowers concert.

and my friends had a surprise party for me.

thanksgiving break was glorious.

i had my first ever black friday experience at gap. will be going every year.

december

my kids gave me a sweet christmas gift. i teared up.

it snowed a lot.

steven and i went to the lights at temple square and he introduced me to paradise bakery.

the world celebrated Christ's birth.

i went home!  we celebrated christmas with family and had lots of family time.

steven came to california.

and met the whole fam {well most of my mom's side}.

and now it's a new year!!
